A 36-year-old Bangladeshi woman named Khadija Begum was arrested in Tripura’s Charipara area for her alleged involvement in human trafficking. The arrest was made by the Government Railway Police (GRP) in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF) Unit 42 and Amtali Police Station.

According to the police, Khadija Begum, a resident of Brahmanbaria district in Bangladesh, was detained on Saturday afternoon based on a tip-off. She is scheduled to be presented before the honourable Agartala court for further legal proceedings.

Earlier on Thursday, local law enforcement agencies and the BSF conducted a joint operation at Agartala Railway Station, leading to the arrest of ten individuals, including eight Bangladeshi nationals. The arrested individuals are currently held in custody for further questioning.
