Accused Amit Hisamsing Kumar in Custody

In a significant development in the Baba Siddique murder case, Amit Hisamsing Kumar has been placed in the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch until November 4. The court made this decision on Thursday. During questioning, Amit admitted to knowing about the murder plot. Zeeshan Akhtar, the fourth accused, informed Amit that money would be sent to his account, which he was to withdraw and hand over to Zeeshan, according to Mumbai police.

Details of the Accused

Amit Hisamsing Kumar, 29, hails from Kaithal district in Haryana. His involvement was confirmed by the police under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Arms Act, and the MP Act, related to the Nirmal Nagar firing case. His arrest marks the eleventh in connection with the murder of the NCP leader, as reported by the Mumbai Crime Branch.

Shooters’ Practice Sessions

Earlier, Mumbai Police revealed that the shooters involved in the murder had conducted at least five practice sessions before the attack. These sessions took place in a forest along the Karjat-Khopoli road, where they practiced shooting at a tree near Palasadari village. The suspects fired between five and ten rounds during these sessions in September.

Incident Details

Baba Siddique was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar, suffering two gunshot wounds to the chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for emergency treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on October 12.
