Australia vs England: 2025-26 Ashes Series Schedule Announced

Cricket Australia has revealed the schedule for the 2025-26 Ashes series, starting with the first match in Perth on November 21. The second Test will be a day-night match at the Gabba in Brisbane from December 4. The third Test, known as the ‘pre-Christmas’ Test, will take place at the Adelaide Oval. The series will continue with the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 and conclude with the New Year Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 4.

Adelaide has been a popular venue for day-night Tests, hosting two previous Ashes matches in 2017-18 and 2021-22. The Gabba, which has hosted three day-night Tests, may see its last Ashes match due to redevelopment plans for the 2032 Olympics. This will be the first time since 1982-83 that Brisbane will not host the series opener.

Joel Morrison, CA’s executive general manager of events and operations, expressed excitement about the series, highlighting its global appeal and urging fans to register for tickets. The Ashes urn remains with Australia after a 2-2 draw in the UK last year.
