New Delhi, September 21: Atishi, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is set to take oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. The ceremony will be held at Raj Niwas on Saturday. Atishi arrived at the residence of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal ahead of the event, accompanied by Delhi ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Gopal Rai.

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Atishi as the Chief Minister of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, effective from the date she is sworn in. The President also accepted Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation but stated he will continue to hold office until Atishi is sworn in.
