  • Starting classes from 8 a.m.
  • Holding assemblies indoors with reduced duration
  • Allowing students to wear comfortable clothing like sandals
  • Ensuring all fans are functional and classrooms are well-ventilated
  • Arranging alternate power backups in case of power cuts

Similar measures were taken in Kamrup (Metro) district, where schools will start at 7:30 a.m. and end by 12:30 p.m. The guidelines aim to safeguard students’ health amid the ongoing heatwave.
