Jaishankar will speak at the 'Advantage Assam 2: Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025' in Guwahati on February 25-26, highlighting Assam's role in the Act East Policy. The policy aims to enhance economic cooperation and cultural ties with Asia-Pacific countries, improving connectivity for India's North Eastern Region.
In January, Assam Minister Ashok Singhal hosted an Investors' Roadshow in Bengaluru, promoting Assam's economic potential. The event showcased Assam as a strategic gateway to South and Southeast Asia, capable of reaching 30% of the global population within a short flight.
