Chaibasa, Jharkhand – Assam Chief Minister and BJP co-in-charge for the Jharkhand assembly polls, Himanta Biswa Sarma, expressed confidence in his party’s strong position in the upcoming elections. He announced that Prime Minister Modi will visit Chaibasa on November 4 to support the campaign.

Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “Our team is in a very strong position. We will fight the elections well and aim to win all the seats in Chaibasa.” However, the NDA has not yet decided on a Chief Minister candidate for Jharkhand, with the goal being to select a suitable leader for the state.

The elections for the 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly will occur in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting on November 23. Sarma criticized Chief Minister Hemant Soren for inadequate policies towards farmers, particularly regarding paddy procurement and timely Minimum Support Price (MSP) payments.

Sarma urged Soren to apologize to farmers and to declare his stance on infiltrators and the National Register of Citizens in Jharkhand. Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are scheduled to address public rallies in Jharkhand on November 3 and 4.

Jharkhand has 2.60 crore eligible voters, including 1.31 crore male and 1.29 crore female voters, with 11.84 lakh first-time voters and 66.84 lakh young voters.
