Assam BJP President Bhabesh Kalita Remembers Ratan Tata’s Contributions to Assam
On October 11, Assam BJP president Bhabesh Kalita expressed his admiration for the late Ratan Tata, highlighting his significant contributions to the northeastern state of Assam. Kalita praised Tata for his efforts in improving the health sector and creating job opportunities in the region. He stated, “Ratan Tata was an important man for Assam, and he helped the state a lot, especially in the health sector and also in employment generation.”
Ratan Tata, a renowned industrialist and former chairman of Tata Group, passed away on October 9, 2024. His final rites were conducted with full state honors at the Worli Crematorium in Mumbai. The ceremony was attended by his stepmother Simone Tata, close aide Shantanu Naidu, and his adopted stray dog, Goa.
Tata’s passing has led to a global outpouring of tributes, recognizing his visionary leadership and philanthropic efforts. He was instrumental in expanding Tata Group internationally, acquiring brands like Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley. His dedication to innovation and sustainability has inspired many entrepreneurs.
