Ashish Shelar Criticizes Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut in Mumbai
In a recent interview, Ashish Shelar, the BJP Mumbai chief, expressed strong criticism towards Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut. Shelar challenged Thackeray to contest elections independently, highlighting what he perceives as Thackeray’s poor leadership and performance. He stated, “Maharashtra knows what Raj Thackeray is and isn’t. Similarly, it knows Sanjay Raut’s limitations.”
Shelar also criticized Sanjay Raut, claiming that Raut has never contested elections and struggles to gather even 500-1000 supporters. He remarked, “Those who rely on others’ strength and speak on their behalf shouldn’t criticize others.” Shelar praised Raj Thackeray for forming his party independently without splitting Shiv Sena.
Responding to Sanjay Raut’s comments about a future MVA Chief Minister, Shelar dismissed the possibility, suggesting internal conflicts within MVA and a loss of voter support. He said, “Ask them (MVA) who among them would be (the CM). MVA is not even going to come (to power).”
