Arvind Kejriwal to Campaign for INDIA Bloc in Maharashtra and Jharkhand

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is set to campaign for the INDIA bloc candidates in the states of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Sources indicate that Kejriwal will focus on assembly seats where AAP has a strong volunteer presence and where the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidates have a clean background. The Shiv Sena-UBT and NCP-SP have requested Kejriwal’s support in Maharashtra, and he is expected to campaign alongside other senior AAP leaders.

In Jharkhand, Kejriwal will campaign for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidates, particularly in urban areas where his influence could convert into votes for the INDIA Bloc. Kejriwal, who was previously arrested in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, was released from Tihar Jail after being granted bail by the Supreme Court. Following his release, he resigned from his position as Chief Minister, stating he would not return until the public reaffirms their trust in him by voting AAP back into power in the upcoming assembly elections.

The Maharashtra assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with results to be announced on November 23. The main contest is between the Mahayuti alliance, which includes the BJP, NCP (Ajit Pawar), and Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), and the MVA alliance, comprising Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (Sharad Pawar). In Jharkhand, elections will occur in two phases on November 13 and 20, with counting on November 23. The BJP is allied with the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), JD-U, and LJP, while the JMM, Rashtriya Janata Dal, and Congress are contesting together.
