Mittal offered his residence to Kejriwal, who is seeking a dispute-free property in New Delhi to stay connected with his constituents.

Kejriwal resigned on September 17, after which Atishi was appointed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. She took oath on September 22 and expressed her hope for Kejriwal’s return as CM in the upcoming assembly elections. Atishi, the third woman to hold the position, placed an empty chair beside her own as a tribute to Kejriwal, symbolizing her temporary stewardship of the role.
