Union Home Minister Amit Shah has applauded the efforts of the Delhi Police and Gujarat Police for their successful operations in seizing a large amount of drugs. He emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a drug-free India to protect the youth.

Successful Operations

In October, the Delhi Police seized 1,289 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana, valued at Rs 13,000 crore. A joint operation with Gujarat Police led to the recovery of 518 kg of cocaine worth Rs 5,000 crore from Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.

Details of the Seizures

On October 1, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell raided a warehouse in Mahipalpur, seizing 562 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of marijuana. Further investigations on October 10 led to the discovery of 208 kg of cocaine in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi. The drugs were linked to Pharma Solution Services and Avkar Drugs Limited Company.

Amit Shah reiterated the government’s dedication to fighting drug trafficking and ensuring a drug-free Bharat.
