Amit Shah Praises Budget 2024-25 for Youth Training and Employment Initiatives

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the government’s decision to provide training and internship programs to youths after the budget presentation. He called it a game-changing move, stating that the government will offer world-class training to 1 crore youth through internships in the top 500 companies.

In a social media post, Shah wrote, “The Budget 2024-25 will go down in history for coupling Bharat’s economic growth with the torque of the nation’s youth power. It provides for a massive fund of Rs 2 lakh crore to train 4.1 crore youth in a wide range of skills while envisioning another game-changing move of providing world-class training to 1 crore youth through internships in top 500 companies.”

Shah expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for new employment initiatives, using the hashtag #BudgetForViksitBharat. He also thanked PM Modi for increasing the Mudra loan limit from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, which will help small and women entrepreneurs become job creators.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh consecutive Union Budget 2024-25, making history as the first finance minister to do so. Her budget outlined key priorities like productivity in agriculture, employment, skilling, and tax reforms aimed at fostering economic growth.

Sitharaman proposed creating employment for 4.1 crore youth over the next five years with an allocation of Rs 2 lakh crore. She also proposed Rs 1.48 crore for skilling citizens to generate job opportunities, with plans to upgrade 1,000 industrial training institutes.
