Amit Shah Criticizes MVA Over Article 370 and Waqf Board Issues in Maharashtra
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a visit to Shirala in Maharashtra, criticized the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for supporting a resolution to restore Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Shah firmly stated that Article 370 would not be reinstated, even after four generations of NCP leader Sharad Pawar. He also questioned the opposition to renaming Aurangabad as Sambhajinagar, asserting that the name change would remain.
Shah accused the MVA of engaging in ‘appeasement politics’ and criticized the Congress party’s provisions for the Waqf board. He claimed that the NDA government would protect the land of temples and farmers from being transferred to the Waqf board. Shah highlighted the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and other religious sites, attributing delays to the Congress party.
He emphasized that only the Mahayuti government could end appeasement politics and compared the financial support given to Maharashtra by the Modi government to that during the MVA’s tenure. The upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections on November 20 will see the MVA coalition challenging the Mahayuti alliance for power.
