Aman Sehrawat Wins Bronze at Paris Olympics

Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat won a bronze medal in the 57 kg freestyle wrestling event at the Paris Olympics, defeating Puerto Rico’s Darian Cruz. Congress MP Deepender Hooda praised Sehrawat, calling him a role model for the next generation and announcing plans to develop a stadium in his name.
Sehrawat celebrated his victory with a roadshow from Chhatrasal Stadium and was felicitated by his loved ones and close friends. He expressed happiness about the love he is receiving from people, saying, “It feels really good. The love I am getting from people is great. They are all my family.”
Speaking to the media, Sehrawat urged players to give their best in their sports, saying, “Give your 100 per cent in your sport. In the end, the result would be great.” He also mentioned that he is preparing for a gold medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
The 21-year-old wrestler clinched a 13-5 victory over Cruz. Despite a strong start from Cruz, Sehrawat made a comeback and secured the win, making him the country’s youngest-ever Olympic medalist and the 7th Indian wrestler to medal at the Olympics.
