In Bengaluru, Karnataka Housing and Minorities Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has convinced Ajjam Peer Khadri to withdraw his nomination as a rebel candidate for the Shiggaon by-election. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge approved Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan as the party’s candidate, leading Khadri to initially file as an independent candidate.
Khan, along with other political figures, brought Khadri to Bengaluru, where he met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
