After the merger, around 115,000 customers with pre-merger Vistara bookings will travel with the unified Air India. Vistara flights will now operate under Air India with a unique four-digit code starting with "2". For instance, Vistara flight UK 955 will become AI 2955.
Despite the merger, Vistara's routes, schedules, and in-flight services will remain unchanged. Air India is enhancing its resources at various touchpoints, including help desks at major airports, to assist customers during the transition.
Air India staff will wear "How may I assist you?" branded t-shirts to help customers. Vistara's airport facilities will gradually transition to Air India, and self-service kiosks will guide passengers on the new check-in process.
At international airports, support staff will be available to assist, and Vistara's call center will redirect to Air India representatives. Over 270,000 Vistara customers have already been informed of these changes.
More than 4.5 million Vistara loyalty members are being integrated into Air India's program. The merger offers broader connectivity to over 90 destinations, with access to 800 more through partnerships. Air India's fleet is being upgraded, and Vistara's catering services will be available on Air India flights.
