Spinner Adam Zampa overtook former pacer Nathan Bracken to become Australia’s eighth-highest wicket-taker in ODIs on Saturday. Zampa achieved this milestone during the fourth ODI against England at Lord’s.

In the match, Zampa was a standout performer for the Australian bowling side, taking two wickets for 66 runs in eight overs. He dismissed key players Ben Duckett and Harry Brook. Now, in 102 ODIs since his debut in 2016, Zampa has taken 175 wickets at an average of 27.99, with best figures of 5/35. He has 11 four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul in ODIs.

On the other hand, Nathan Bracken, who played from 2001 to 2009, took 174 wickets in 116 ODIs at an average of 24.36, with best figures of 5/47. He had five four-wicket hauls and two five-wicket hauls in ODIs.

In the match, Australia won the toss and chose to field. England started strong with a 48-run opening stand between Phil Salt and Ben Duckett. Harry Brook and Duckett then added 79 runs together, followed by a 75-run partnership between Brook and Jamie Smith. Brook scored 87 runs, narrowly missing a century. Liam Livingstone added a quick 62* runs, helping England reach 312/5 in 39 overs. Zampa was the best bowler for Australia, while Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, and Josh Hazlewood took one wicket each.

In response, Australia started well with a 68-run partnership between Travis Head and Marsh. However, after their partnership was broken, Australia collapsed to 126 all out in 24.4 overs. Matthew Potts and Brydon Carse were the standout bowlers for England. England won the match by 186 runs, leveling the series 2-2. Harry Brook was named ‘Player of the Match’ for his 87 runs.
