Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Visits India, Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited India and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. He laid a wreath and signed the visitors book.
After his visit to Rajghat, Sheikh Khaled met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They discussed the multi-faceted relations between India and the UAE, aiming to broaden their comprehensive strategic partnership.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared on X that the meeting marked a significant step in India-UAE relations. Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Piyush Goyal, along with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, were also present.
Sheikh Khaled arrived in New Delhi on September 8 for his first official visit to India. He was warmly received by Piyush Goyal and given a ceremonial welcome. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu and participate in a Business Forum in Mumbai on September 10.
The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that the visit aims to reinforce strong bilateral relations and explore new partnership opportunities. Earlier this year, PM Modi visited the UAE and discussed bilateral relations with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, resulting in the exchange of eight agreements.
