Aaranyak, a biodiversity conservation organization based in Assam, has introduced a new outreach program called 'WeForNature'. The birdwatching event attracted 27 nature enthusiasts from across India, including experienced birders and 9 forest officials. Notable participants included Rosy Bora, Range Officer of Rani Range, and expert birders like Udayan Borthakur, Pranjal Mahananda, Devika Rani, and Partha Pratim Das.
Pranab Goswami, the organizing officer of Aaranyak, coordinated the event. Udayan Borthakur, Senior Scientist and Organizing Secretary of Aaranyak, emphasized the program's goal to connect people with nature and foster a network of environmentally conscious individuals.
Aaranyak plans to host various events under 'WeForNature', such as nature watching, photography, eco talks, and conservation discussions, in collaboration with other institutions.
