AAP’s Sushil Gupta Criticizes BJP Amid Haryana Election Results
In the Haryana assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) did not secure any leads in the 90 seats. AAP Haryana president, Sushil Gupta, expressed his desire for the removal of the “corrupt and arrogant” BJP from power, regardless of who forms the government. He mentioned that the decision on the AAP-Congress alliance was up to the high command of both parties.
Meanwhile, the BJP is close to achieving a third consecutive win in Haryana. The Congress party raised concerns about discrepancies in the vote count data provided by the Election Commission. Congress leader Pawan Khera noted a mismatch in the rounds counted and those displayed on television. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused the Election Commission of influencing results by delaying data updates.
Initially, Congress celebrated early trends showing them in the lead, with Pawan Khera expressing confidence in forming the government in Haryana and Jammu Kashmir. However, as of 12:40 PM, BJP led with 49 seats, Congress with 35, and other parties with a few seats each. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Bhupinder Singh Hooda were leading in their respective constituencies.
