Protests by UPPSC Aspirants

Students preparing for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) exams held a candlelight march in Prayagraj, marking the third day of protests. They demanded that the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) and Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) exams be conducted in a single shift.

Supreme Court’s Verdict on Bulldozer Action

Akhilesh Yadav welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the use of bulldozers, stating that it should stop following the verdict. The court ruled that demolitions should not occur without a 15-day notice and adherence to statutory guidelines. The judgement emphasized that the executive cannot act as a judge and punish individuals by demolishing their properties.
