Himachal Pradesh Extends Police Recruitment Deadline

The government of Himachal Pradesh has extended the deadline for police recruitment applications from October 31 to November 12. This decision, announced by a government spokesperson, follows directions from Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The extension aims to provide more time for young people across the state to apply, benefiting thousands of potential candidates.
During his 20-month tenure, CM Sukhu has focused on generating employment, creating over 31,000 job opportunities. As part of these efforts, the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is inviting applications for 1,088 constable positions in the state police department.
Promoting Gender Equality
To promote gender equality, 30% of the police vacancies are reserved for women. Out of the 1,088 posts, 380 are designated for female constables, while 708 are available for male candidates.
Relaxed Age Limits
The government has also relaxed the maximum age limit for constable recruitment by one year. General category applicants aged 18 to 26, SC/ST, OBC, Gorkha, and distinguished sportspersons aged 18 to 28, and Home Guards aged 20 to 29 are eligible to apply.
