Tripura CM Manik Saha Celebrates Kali Puja and Diwali
On Wednesday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the Kali puja celebrations in Agartala, the state capital. As a special Diwali gift, he announced a 5% Dearness Allowance for government and retired employees, acknowledging their year-round hard work.
The event featured vibrant dance performances by a group of women, and CM Saha also honored several individuals. Additionally, he attended Diwali celebrations at the 2nd Battalion TSR Camp in Binan Kobra Para, Mandwai, where he interacted with the personnel and learned about their initiatives and equipment.
CM Saha expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the security forces and emphasized the importance of supporting them. He shared his experiences on social media, calling the celebrations “truly special.” The festivities underscored the state government’s commitment to recognizing the contributions of security forces in maintaining peace in Tripura.
Diwali, known as the ‘Festival of Lights,’ celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. It spans five days, starting with Dhanteras and ending with Bhai Dooj, with families decorating their homes, sharing sweets, and enjoying the festive spirit.
