The Organising Committee of DUBAI GAMES has announced the 27 teams that have qualified for the Battle of the Community. This follows a competitive qualifier held at DAMAC Hills. These teams will compete alongside the reigning champion, Team NAS, in an exciting event.
The event is held under the patronage of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council. The qualifiers saw participation from 290 athletes across 58 teams, showcasing the enthusiasm and community spirit in Dubai.
Marwan bin Essa, Director of DUBAI GAMES, stated, "With its new brand, DUBAI GAMES has become a highly anticipated event, providing a platform for showcasing team talent and promoting athletic excellence." He emphasized the tournament's role in fostering a healthy, active lifestyle and its significance as a global sporting stage.
This year, DUBAI GAMES will feature 246 teams across various categories, including the Battle of the Government, Battle of the Community, Battle of the Cities, and Battle of Juniors. The tournament is supported by partners like DP World, DAMAC Group, and Emarat.
The Battle of the Juniors is scheduled for 8th February at DAMAC Hills, followed by the main tournament from 20th to 23rd February 2025 at Dubai Festival City.
