A meeting was held at the BCAS headquarters in Delhi, chaired by Zulfiquar Hasan, to discuss the challenges airlines face due to hoax bomb threats. Legal Measures

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is considering amendments to existing laws to impose stricter penalties for hoax bomb threats. Proposed changes include a 5-year imprisonment and placing offenders on a no-fly list. A committee will be formed to draft these amendments in consultation with the law ministry and Ministry of Home Affairs.
