Zimbabwe Announces Squad for Cricket Series Against Pakistan

Zimbabwe has revealed its team for the upcoming cricket series against Pakistan. Craig Ervine will captain the One Day International (ODI) team, which includes key players like Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams, along with fast bowlers Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava. The team also features three new players: Trevor Gwandu, Tashinga Musekiwa, and Tinotenda Maposa.

David Mutendera, Zimbabwe's Convener of Selectors, expressed confidence in the team's mix of experienced and young players. He emphasized the importance of the series as a platform for Zimbabwe to showcase its potential. The team aims to build on its success from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 sub-regional qualifier in Kenya, retaining the same T20I squad led by Sikandar Raza.

Notably, Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, and Joylord Gumbie are not part of the T20I squad. Mutendera explained that maintaining the same squad that performed well in Kenya would help in building team cohesion and confidence. He also highlighted the challenge and opportunity of facing a strong team like Pakistan.
