Zelenskyy Warns of Russia-North Korea Alliance Amid Ukraine Conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed concerns about a growing alliance between Russia and North Korea, which could potentially escalate the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. He thanked world leaders who condemned this partnership.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy stated, “A new threat has emerged – the malign alliance between Russia and North Korea.” He highlighted North Korea’s supply of military personnel to Russia and called for a “fair response” from international partners.
Zelenskyy warned that North Korean soldiers on the front lines could prolong the war, urging global action to counteract this threat. He emphasized the need for a just and swift end to the conflict.
South Korea’s National Intelligence Service reported that North Korea has sent 1,500 soldiers to Russia for training, marking its first military involvement in the conflict. These soldiers were inspected by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and large Russian transport aircraft have been traveling between Vladivostok and Pyongyang.
