Zeeshan Siddiqui Joins NCP for Vandre East Election Battle
Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of former MLA Baba Siddique, has joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Zeeshan will contest the Vandre East constituency in the upcoming elections, a seat he previously won in 2019. He expressed gratitude to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, and Sunil Tatkare for their support.
Zeeshan was previously with the Congress but was upset when his Bandra East seat was given to Shiv Sena (UBT) as part of a seat-sharing agreement. He criticized Congress for this decision and expressed his determination to win the seat again, fulfilling his late father’s dream.
Zeeshan will face Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Arun Sardesai in the elections. He also took a subtle jab at Congress through social media, emphasizing the importance of respect in relationships.
In other NCP news, Sana Malik, daughter of Nawab Malik, and Nishikant Patil have been announced as candidates for Anushakti Nagar and Islampur, respectively. The Maharashtra Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results on November 23.
