Zamir Abdullah Criticizes Government, Calls for Jammu and Kashmir Statehood
In Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Zamir Abdullah, son of Omar Abdullah, voiced strong criticism against the Union government. Earlier, JKNC chief Farooq Abdullah expressed confidence in Omar Abdullah becoming the next Chief Minister. However, Omar stated that the decision lies with the legislators and the alliance. The recent J&K assembly elections saw the JKNC-led alliance win 42 seats, Congress 6, and BJP 29, marking the first election since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
