YouTuber Gulzar Sheikh Arrested for Dangerous Railway Stunts in Uttar Pradesh
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has taken strong action against reckless behavior by arresting YouTuber Gulzar Sheikh. Sheikh endangered public safety by tampering with railway tracks for publicity, as shown in viral videos on Twitter.
Sheikh, who has over 2 lakh subscribers and has uploaded more than 250 videos, was found placing various objects on railway tracks. This prompted an urgent investigation by RPF Unchahar, Northern Railway.
On August 1, the RPF registered the offense under various provisions of the Railway Act. A joint team of RPF and local police arrested Sheikh from his residence in Khandrauli Village, Uttar Pradesh.
DG RPF praised the prompt action by the RPF Lucknow Division and emphasized that legal action against Sheikh would serve as a strong deterrent. He assured the public that any attempts to undermine railway safety would be met with strict legal action.
DG RPF also appealed to the public to report any activities compromising railway security to the Railway Protection Force or via the Rail Madad helpline number 139.
