Yogi Adityanath’s Big Plans for Wildlife and Tourism in Uttar Pradesh

The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is committed to developing forest areas, sanctuaries, and reserves, focusing on the conservation of tigers and elephants. Initiatives are underway to protect wildlife and explore tourism potential in these areas, which will also increase state revenue.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has started preparations to accelerate projects aimed at conserving tigers and elephants. ‘Project Tiger’ and ‘Project Elephant’ are being implemented across various reserves in Uttar Pradesh. The state has allocated Rs 5.31 crore for these projects in the financial year 2024-25.

The funds will be used for purchasing machines, plants, and equipment, completing construction works, and covering office expenses and wages. Development work for tourist facilities in Reserve Forest Regions is ongoing, including the construction of water bodies for wildlife conservation.
