Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 11: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his recent comments on reservation made during his visit to the US. CM Yogi demanded an apology from Gandhi, accusing him of trying to create division in the country and conspiring to abolish reservation.

In a post on X, CM Yogi stated, “Congress prince Rahul Gandhi is heading towards becoming the leader of an anti-India separatist group. Their only aim is to destroy the unity, integrity, and social harmony of India and push the country towards civil war.” He further added, “Rahul Gandhi should understand that as long as there is even one BJP worker in this country, his divisive intentions will not succeed.”

CM Yogi emphasized that the people of India are united against all anti-national forces, including the Congress, and that the NDA government, under PM Modi’s leadership, is committed to uplifting the exploited, oppressed, and deprived. He condemned Gandhi’s attempt to sow division and demanded an apology.

On September 9, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, mentioned that the Congress party would consider scrapping reservations when India becomes a “fair place.” He made these remarks while interacting with students and faculty at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Gandhi also highlighted the need for a caste census, pointing out that 90% of the country’s population—OBCs, Dalits, and Adivasis—lack proper representation.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also criticized Rahul Gandhi, stating that it has become a habit for the Congress leader to align with forces that aim to divide the country. Shah assured that the BJP would not allow anyone to abolish reservation and compromise the nation’s security.
