Yogi Adityanath Announces 18 New Football Stadiums in Uttar Pradesh
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has revealed plans to construct 18 football stadiums across the state’s 18 commissariats. To further promote football, 827 football grounds will also be prepared in every block of the state. This initiative aims to provide better facilities and encourage more tournaments.
All India Football Federation President Kalyan Chaubey praised the UP government’s quick renovation of the KD Singh Babu Stadium in just 19 days for the historic Kolkata Derby match. The match saw Mohun Bagan Super Giant defeat East Bengal FC on penalties.
