Yerevan Dialogue 2023: World Leaders and Experts Gather in Armenia
The Yerevan Dialogue is taking place from September 9-11 in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. This event is organized by the Armenian Foreign Ministry in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). It aims to address important global issues such as climate change, conflict, technology, and health.
The event will be inaugurated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 10, with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also participating in the opening session. The Dialogue will feature representatives from over 60 countries, including ministers, former heads of state and government, journalists, and experts.
Notable attendees include Xavier Bettel, Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg; Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary; Davit Karapetyan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia; Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour of Qatar; Kirti Vardhan Singh, Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change of India; and Narek Mkrtchyan, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Armenia.
The discussions at the Yerevan Dialogue will focus on five key themes: the emerging international order, connectivity, green transitions and the future of energy, digital societies as stable and safe economic engines, and the future of work. With more than 170 participants from around the world, the Yerevan Dialogue aims to bring fresh ideas, solutions, and perspectives to Armenia.
