Yashaswini Initiative Launched in Jaipur to Support Women Entrepreneurs

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has launched a new initiative called the ‘Yashaswini’ initiative under the ‘Empower Her Udan’ campaign. This initiative aims to encourage and support women entrepreneurs across India.

Event Details

The first phase of the campaign started on Friday, July 19, in Jaipur. According to Ankita Pandey, Director of MSME, around 600 women entrepreneurs from the state participated in the event held at the Rajasthan International Centre.

Goals of the Initiative

The initiative aims to provide formal education for women operating commercial enterprises and to create awareness about the various MSME schemes available to them. Pandey stated, “The initiative is to introduce formal education for the women who operate commercial enterprises, along with creating awareness among them to utilise all the MSME schemes.”

Workshops and Training

Women can register at different stalls based on the skills they need to develop, such as training, capacity building, capital utilisation, market access, product development, and digital marketing. Pandey also mentioned that this will be an ongoing process with workshops organised at local MSMEs for further development.

Notable Attendees

Union Minister for MSME Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister of State for MSME Sobha Karandlaje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma, and State Cabinet Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore attended the event.
