Yashasvi Jaiswal Talks About Batting with Rohit Sharma and Upcoming Duleep Trophy
Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal shared his thoughts on batting alongside skipper Rohit Sharma, describing it as an ‘incredible experience.’ Jaiswal mentioned that he has learned a lot from Sharma, including how to adjust his batting on different types of pitches.
Jaiswal spoke to reporters ahead of the Duleep Trophy opener, which marks the beginning of the domestic cricket season. India B, led by Abhimanyu Easwaran, will face Shubman Gill’s India A in Bengaluru.
Jaiswal said, ‘It is an incredible experience whenever I go out and bat with him. He has shared his experiences with me. I think the way he controls the game and understands the wicket, it is spot on and there are a lot of things to learn from him.’
He added that his understanding of the game has improved significantly since he started playing international cricket. Jaiswal also praised India’s new head coach Gautam Gambhir for encouraging players to play freely and enjoy themselves.
