In the first phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections held on November 13, women voters outnumbered men by 4.8% in 43 out of 81 constituencies. The Election Commission of India reported a voter turnout of 66.65%, a 2.75% increase from 2019. Women had a turnout of 69.04%, men 64.27%, and the third gender 31.02%. Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar confirmed peaceful voting and secure handling of EVMs. The second phase is set for November 20, with 1.23 crore voters and 257 candidates.
