Woman Inspector in Lucknow Escapes Kidnapping, Files Fresh Complaint Against Anshuman Pandey
A woman inspector in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly kidnapped by Anshuman Pandey, who had been harassing her for six months. Pandey pressured her to withdraw a previous case she filed against him. The inspector managed to escape and filed a new complaint.
She reported being abducted from her home and threatened with death if she didn’t withdraw the case. She was left in a deserted area near the Bithauli intersection, from where she managed to flee and reach the Babu Banarasi Das (BBD) Police Station to file a fresh case against Pandey.
Police are investigating the incident, including reviewing CCTV footage, and further action will be taken accordingly.
