Woman and Daughter Rescued from Wall in Hyderabad, Pakistan
In Hyderabad, Pakistan, a woman and her teenage daughter faced a terrifying ordeal when they were allegedly trapped behind a wall by their relatives due to a property dispute. The incident took place in the Latifabad No 5 area.
According to the woman, her brother-in-law, Suhail, along with his sons, confined them in a room and built a wall to seal them in. She also accused Suhail of persistent harassment and possessing important documents related to their house.
Police and concerned neighbors acted quickly to break down the wall and rescue the victims. Law enforcement has registered a case against Suhail and assured the public of their commitment to bringing those responsible to justice. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Farrukh Linjar confirmed that legal proceedings are underway.
In a related incident on May 24th, a property dispute in the Chamkani area of Peshawar led to the deaths of at least five individuals. The violence erupted when two groups engaged in gunfire. Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) and noted that the conflict had been ongoing for a long time.
Such incidents of violence due to personal animosity or land disputes have occurred in the past.
