Woman Allegedly Assaulted by Auto Driver in Rangareddy, Telangana

A woman returning from her hometown after the festive season was reportedly assaulted by an auto driver in Rangareddy district, Telangana. The incident occurred in the Gachibowli area, as stated by the police. The woman, who had traveled from Lingampally, boarded the auto-rickshaw at the RC Puram bus stand to reach her home in Nanakramguda. The alleged assault took place around 2:30 am. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

In a related incident two weeks prior, a 20-year-old man was accused of assaulting a minor girl in Siddipet district, Telangana. Following the incident, the victim’s family and some villagers vandalized and set the accused’s house on fire. The man was taken into custody, and a case was filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Additionally, cases were registered against those involved in the vandalism, which caused a law and order issue in the area.
