Melbourne [Australia], August 29: Australian cricketer Will Pucovski has retired from professional cricket at the age of 26 due to multiple concussions sustained throughout his career.
Career and Injuries
Pucovski’s cricket career began in 2017, but he has faced numerous injuries, particularly concussions. In March 2024, he was concussed after being hit on the helmet by a delivery from Riley Meredith during a Sheffield Shield match, which ruled him out for the rest of the Australian cricket summer and a county cricket deal with Leicestershire.

Besides physical injuries, Pucovski admitted that the constant concussions also affected his mental health.

Interestingly, Pucovski never played a T20 match, despite receiving a deal from Melbourne Stars in the 2020-21 season.
