Precautionary Measures

Flight operations at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata will be suspended for 15 hours from 6:00 PM on October 25 to 9:00 AM on October 26. Schools and academic institutions in several parts of the state will remain closed as per the West Bengal government’s announcement.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Cyclone Dana is expected to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Odisha and West Bengal are on standby, with additional support from the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard.
