West Bengal Governor Praises New Vande Bharat Trains and PM Modi’s Efforts

West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose praised the Union government on Tuesday for introducing new Vande Bharat trains in West Bengal. He called Indian Railways a ‘symbol of change’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

The Governor said, “The Indian Railways is the symbol of change for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. The reason for saying this is simple, the ‘double engine’ government has been accepted extensively.”

Praising the inauguration of new Vande Bharat trains in West Bengal, he added, “Indian railways is one of the most genuine and different railway networks. It connects every corner of the country. Modi Sarkar has introduced many trains in Bengal, including Vande Bharat trains. You also know that it is a semi-high speed train. For that, the people of Bengal are really thankful for the Prime Minister.”

The Governor further mentioned that the Prime Minister has brought a lot of things ‘on track’ for Indians, including the economy, national unity, and social harmony.

He also thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his efforts in India’s progress. “There is no need to look back anymore. Union Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, through Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown the discipline for India’s progress,” he said.

On September 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the trains from Tatanagar in Jharkhand. West Bengal BJP General Secretary and MLA Agnimitra Paul was at Asansol station and flagged off the Vande Bharat train. She expressed pride in the ‘Make in India’ initiative and highlighted the infrastructural developments under PM Modi’s leadership.

Six new Vande Bharat trains will improve connectivity on routes like Tatanagar – Patna, Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah, Brahmapur – Tatanagar, Gaya – Howrah, Deoghar – Varanasi, and Rourkela – Howrah. These trains will benefit regular travelers, professionals, and students, and boost religious tourism to sites like Baidyanath Dham, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Kalighat, and Belur Math.
