Vinod Tawde Confident in Mahayuti Alliance’s Success in Maharashtra Elections
BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde is optimistic that those who prioritize national interest will support the Mahayuti alliance in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. The alliance consists of the BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
During a campaign event, Tawde stated, “Whenever society gets divided, the opposition tries to divide them more. Those who are in favour of national interest will come together and make Mahayuti win.” He also addressed concerns about ‘Vote Jihad,’ asserting that voters are aware and will support the alliance’s development goals.
The Maharashtra assembly elections are set for November 20, with results expected on November 23. In the 2019 elections, BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56, and Congress 44.
Meanwhile, three rebel candidates from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance have refused to withdraw their nominations, leading to internal conflicts. Kamal Vyavahare, Aba Bagul, and Manish Anand are challenging official candidates, indicating a rift within the MVA and Mahayuti alliances.
