Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Inaugurates Samvidhan Mandir in Mumbai

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar virtually inaugurated the Samvidhan Mandir at 433 Industrial Training Institutes across Maharashtra from the premises of Elphinstone Technical High School and Jr. College in Mumbai.

Key Highlights

During the event, Dhankhar expressed his gratitude for being a minister at the Centre during the implementation of the Mandal Commission recommendations in 1990. He also mentioned the awarding of the Bharat Ratna to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on March 31, 1990, emphasizing Ambedkar’s commitment to social justice.

Dhankhar stated, “The foundation of social justice was laid firmly by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the form of a fundamental right. The Mandal Commission recommendations were implemented in August 1990, and it was my great fortune that I was a minister at the Centre at that time.”

Planting Saplings in Memory

Later, Vice President Dhankhar and his wife Sudesh Dhankhar planted saplings in memory of their mothers, late Kesari Devi and late Bhagwati Devi, at Ramdeobaba University in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
