New Delhi [India], August 21: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar called on all countries to work together to fight climate change, describing it as the greatest threat to humanity. Speaking at the 19th CII India Africa Business Conclave in New Delhi, he said, “It is critical for all countries to collectively focus their efforts on combating the greatest threat to humanity- climate change.”

Dhankhar highlighted the theme of the conclave, ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future,’ which aligns with India’s G20 presidency motto. He also celebrated the inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member of G20, calling it a significant geopolitical development.

He emphasized the strong historical ties between India and Africa, fostered by shared histories and common struggles. Dhankhar noted that the partnership between India and Africa has the potential to bring about global change for the betterment of humanity.

The event, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, aims to strengthen India-Africa relations and explore opportunities for mutual benefit through technological advancements and cooperation.
