Vedanta’s Major Investment in Odisha
Vedanta Limited, a leading Indian multinational mining company, has announced a significant investment of Rs. 1 lakh crore in Odisha. This investment will be used to establish a 6 million tons per annum alumina refinery and a 3 million tons aluminium plant, focusing on producing green aluminium using renewable energy.
Collaboration with Odisha Government
In partnership with the Government of Odisha, Vedanta will also set up education centres, hospitals, skill development centres, and Nandghars to benefit the local population. This initiative is expected to create 2 lakh jobs and provide opportunities for thousands of MSMEs.
