VD Satheesan Criticizes Kerala Assembly Speaker Over Hema Committee Report Discussion
In Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, VD Satheesan, the Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly, expressed strong disapproval towards Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer for not permitting a discussion on the Hema Committee report. Cheriyan assured that the government is committed to addressing the issues and is considering drafting a new law for the film industry.
Law Minister P Rajeev added that the police had submitted the report to the DGP, and the High Court had noted the victims’ reluctance to proceed with the case. Plans for a conclave to discuss the matter with all stakeholders are underway.
