Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar Honors Officers and Promotes Drug-Free Campaign
On Saturday, Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar honored 12 officers for their excellent work and assured the citizens that the police department will work tirelessly to solve their problems. During his Kumaon tour, DGP Kumar took the guard’s salute at Police Line Rudrapur and visited various facilities, directing regular cleanliness.
DGP Kumar listened to the citizens and assured them of the police’s commitment to solving their problems. He emphasized the aim to make Uttarakhand drug-free and appealed for public cooperation in the campaign against drug abuse. He suggested that counseling children involved in drug abuse could help stop its increasing effect.
Earlier, during his Kumaon tour, DGP Kumar visited Police Line Almora and inspected ongoing construction works. He directed officials to maintain good quality and timely completion of the projects. He also stressed the importance of combating cyber fraud, urging prompt action to arrest fraudsters.
On September 20, DGP Kumar led a meeting to assess the requirements for machines, equipment, and plants necessary for the effective implementation of new criminal laws.
